You can delete your Escapage account and your data at any time, right from the app. Here's how, and exactly what happens.

Delete from the app

Open Escapage and go to Settings (the ··· menu on your profile).
Tap Privacy & data.
Tap Delete account, and confirm.

Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. If you'd like a copy of your writing first, use Settings → Privacy & data → Download your data.

What gets deleted

We permanently remove your personal data, including:

your account and sign-in (email address);
your profile (handle, name, bio);
your writing (pins, Studio writing and archive);
your boards and saved lines;
your notes, sparks and challenge entries.

What may be kept, and for how long

Your data is removed from our live systems straight away and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. We may keep a minimal amount for a limited period only where the law requires it (for example, basic records to prevent abuse). Copies of public pins that other people have already saved to their own boards stay with those users.

Can't sign in?

If you can't access the app, email contact@escapage.ink from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and confirm once it's done.
