Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Seedcraft Ventures Ltd (“we”, “us”) for using Escapage. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. We've kept them plain.

Who can use Escapage

You must be 16 or older to use Escapage. By using it, you confirm you meet that age and can enter into this agreement.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Use accurate details, don't share your login, and let us know if you think someone else has access. One account is for one person.

Your writing is yours

You keep ownership of everything you create on Escapage. To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute your content only as needed to operate the app, for example showing a pin you post to other readers. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already saved and reasonable backup copies that age out. Nothing you write becomes ours, and we never sell it or use it to train AI.

You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

Community rules

Escapage exists to help writers. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to post or do anything that is:

• harassing, hateful, threatening, or that targets or bullies a person or group;
• illegal, or that promotes serious harm, violence or self-harm;
• sexually explicit, obscene, or sexualises minors in any way;
• someone else's work passed off as your own (plagiarism), or infringing copyright or other rights;
• spam, scams, malware, or attempts to disrupt, overload or break the service.

Reporting, moderation and blocking

You can report any pin, note or person from within the app, and you can block anyone so you no longer see their content or hear from them. We review reports and aim to act on objectionable content within 24 hours, removing it and, where needed, suspending or removing the account responsible. We may remove content or limit accounts that breach these terms, with or without notice. To report something outside the app, email contact@escapage.ink.

Our content and brand

The Escapage name, logo, design and software belong to us. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding except as the app itself allows.

Early release

Escapage is in active development. Features will change, things may occasionally break, and we'll ask for your feedback. We provide the service “as is” and “as available”, and can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Suspension and ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app; doing so permanently removes your writing, boards and archive. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to protect the service and its users.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Escapage is provided without warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for content created by other users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the place where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app grows. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Escapage after a change means you accept the updated terms.
